
HAZING POLICY
We, the members of House Arrest 2 Championship Dance Team, Incorporated, do not partake in, approve, or permit Hazing in any form. As stated in the National Constitution, we are a non-hazing organization. Hazing in any form (that is anything against a person(s) will) is strictly forbidden and ILLEGAL. Should this ever to occur, or if any of the above-named items are accused or alleged, any member(s) at fault will be, up to and including, persecuted as an individual to the fullest extent of the Law. The member(s) will also be subject to suspension, fines, and expulsion under the Chapter Code of Conduct of House Arrest 2 Championship Dance Team, Inc. Adhere to the following in the Constitution & Bylaws:
Section 4. Anti-hazing. Any member(s), non-student(s), student(s), group(s) of students, or student organization(s) affiliated with any University where House Arrest 2 Championship Dance Team, Inc. is chartered are prohibited from engaging in any form(s) of hazing activities.
Section 4.1 The term hazing shall include, but not limited to, any brutality of physical nature, such as striking in any manner, whipping, beating, branding, forced calisthenics, exposure to the elements, forced consumption of food, liquor, drugs, or other substances, or other forced physical activities which would adversely affect the health or safety of the individual, and also includes any activity which would subject the individual extreme mental stress, such as sleep deprivation, forced exclusion from social contracts, forced conduct which would be demeaning or results in extreme embarrassment or any other forced activity which could adversely affect the mental health or dignity of the individual. For purposes of this section, any activity as described above, upon which the initiation or admission into or affiliation with a university organization is directly or indirectly conditioned, shall be presumed to be a “forced” activity, the willingness of an individual to participate in such activity notwithstanding.
Section 4.2. Any member(s), any student(s), student group(s) or student organization(s) in affiliation with being on campus or off-campus that are found guilty of hazing will be subject to appropriate sanction by the university and/or local law enforcement to include the criminal citation or summons, imposition of fines, withholding of grade(s), transcripts and/or diplomas pending compliance with the current Student Code of Conduct, of which this rule becomes a part of, pending payment of fines and imposition of probation, suspension, expulsion of said person(s) or organization(s), and/or pending rescission of permission for that University sanctioned organization(s) to operate on the University campus or to otherwise operate on the University campus or to otherwise operate under the sanction of the University.
Section 4.3. We as a body shall not refer to our self as a Fraternity, Sorority, Ship, Sand, Club, Izm’s, lines nor have probation (probate) shows.
Section 4.4. All penalties imposed by the University do not absolve the member(s), student(s), group(s) of student(s), or student organization(s) from any penalty imposed for violation of criminal laws of the State that the infraction occurred in, for violation of any other university rule(s) to which the violator(s) may be subject and further disciplinary action on behalf of House Arrest 2 Championship Dance Team, Inc.
Please be advise any chapter that is found in noncompliance to the Membership Intake Protocol will be subject to Article VIII –Disciplinary Probation, Suspension, Expulsion, Inactivation of Membership. An immediate investigation will take place and if found in non-compliance your chapter will be fined and suspended to up to a year.
